GOOD TO KNOW

A few things you may be wondering.

You don’t have to know what to ask. Here are a few of the things families often want to know when they’re getting started.

  • Once you reach out, we’ll confirm the legal next-of-kin, and will bring your person into our care as soon as possible. Timing can depend on where they are currently and when they are ready to be released, but we’ll handle the coordination and keep you informed along the way. Please note - some locations will require a release authorization signed by the legal next-of-kin.

  • No. Arrangements can be completed virtually, so you can take care of what’s needed from wherever you’re most comfortable. If you’d prefer to meet with us in person, you’re welcome at the Prism studio by appointment.

  • Timing can vary depending on permits, required authorizations, and other circumstances. We’ll let you know what to expect for your person and keep you updated throughout the process. Generally, our time frame is between 7-10 business days, but can vary.

  • Absolutely. Prism Cremation Care includes our signature urn, The Griot, but you’re welcome to provide one of your own.

  • One certified death certificate is included with Prism Cremation Care. If you need additional copies, we can order them for you for the applicable county fee. We’ll also help you think through how many you may actually need. You may reorder additional copies from us for up to one calendar year.

  • Ask us. Keeping our offering simple doesn’t mean every family has the same needs. Tell us what you’re looking for and we’ll let you know what’s possible, what it may cost, and whether we can coordinate it for you.
