Meet Prism

Prism is a funeral home and memorial studio created for both the practical and human parts of loss.

We help families care for what needs to happen after a death while also making room for everything that doesn’t fit neatly on a checklist—the remembering, the gathering, the questions, the creativity, and the grief.

We believe people deserve more than a transaction at one of the most significant moments of their lives. So we built a place where practical care and space for grief can exist side by side.

WHY PRISM EXISTS

The funeral will end. The grief doesn’t.

There are things that have to happen after a loss—arrangements to make, paperwork to complete, decisions that can’t always wait.

But grief doesn’t follow that timeline.

People still need places to remember, to talk, to create, to gather, to ask questions, to laugh, to sit quietly, and sometimes just to be around people who understand.

We care for families in the immediate days after a death, and we’re creating a community they can continue to be part of long after the arrangements are complete.

Prism was built to make room for both.

WHY PRISM?

More than one thing can be true at once.

A prism takes a single beam of light and reveals all the colors that were already there.

We chose the name Prism because grief can be like that, too. A single loss can hold love, anger, relief, confusion, laughter, longing—and countless other things at once.

There is room here for all of it.

WHY A SNAIL?

Because the snail knows something about grief.

The snail moves at its own pace. It carries what matters. It retreats when it needs rest. It returns when it’s ready. And it reminds us that moving slowly is still moving.

There is no correct timeline for grief. You are allowed to take your time, carry what matters, and find your own way forward.

Take your time. We’ll meet you there.

Come as you are.

You don’t have to have the right words. You don’t have to know exactly what you need. Whether you’re here because someone has died, because you’re carrying a loss, or because you’re looking for a place where grief can exist without explanation, there is room for you here.
